While I was roaming today about in Target, I spotted Skullcandy's iPod Bluetooth adapter called the "The Approach" and decided to pick it up. This thing has been out since January, but only now that I have a new iPod that I've actually paid any attention to it.The Approach is a very simple device. Plug it in and it starts looking for something to pair with. There's really nothing to press on the adapter. Most of the work will be turning on the discovery mode on your headset
Right now, I'm using the Approach with my Plantronics Pulsar 590E Bluetooth headset and they both seem to be working great. I originally bought this headset a couple of years back to listen to music on my Nokia 6265i cellphone but later found out that the phone didn't support stereo sound on Bluetooth. I never really used it much since I wasn't happy with the sound quality.
Now that I'm using it with the iPod to listen to music instead of my phone, the sound quality is awesome. To top it all, the Pulsar 590 supports multiple device connections. This means I can have it paired to my iPod and to my phone at the same time.Labels: ipod, mp3 players, music, portable devices
