Last Tuesday, I was invited to for "soft launch" of the new Target store on Blue Angel Parkway on the west side of Pensacola. The store officially has their grand opening on March 8th, but Target opened the store up to employees and their friends and family.

At the event, the Escambia High School band provided live music. Also, Yo the Balloon Man made balloon animals for the kid, sand a caricature artist made silly drawing of people.

It was quite interesting to see a brand new store that hasn't been beaten up by the public. Everything looked picture perfect. The aisles were all fully stocked. You would've been hard-pressed to find an empty product slot or peg in the store.

My camera phone was running low on memory, so I wasn't able to take as many pictures as I wanted, but here's a few that I manage to snap:

After making my way to Mobile, AL to visit a friend, I'm heading out to New Orleans if the weather permits so I cross off one more thing of my "things to do before I turn 30" list. Yeah, I know I'm behind schedule, but I'm doing the best I can with the resources that I have.

I'm hoping that my digital camer doesn't die on me since I forgot to bring the battery charger for it. If that fails, I'll try use my camera phone but we all know the quality on those things aren't as good as a real digital camera. I'll be posting on the Photoblog as the day goes by.
