Bring Wolverine to your Hometown
Sunday, April 05, 2009
Attention Pensacolians! I just got an email that says that 20th Century Fox is running a promotional campaign to see where they will hold the premier of the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" movie. Now, I know our town sucks and everyone complains about not having anything really cool happen. Well, now I'm asking for you to quit your bitching. I'm putting in your hands the power to have something totally awesome happen in our town. Visit http://x-menorigins.com/premiere/ and plug in our zip code. Just remember that if you don't vote for Pensacola, then it's your fault that our town sucks. If you do vote, you can hold your head high and know that you are not part of Pensacola's sucky problem. On Books, Movies, and Commercials
Wednesday, March 18, 2009
For the last few weeks, a plot for a conspiracy story has been brewing in my head. Last night, I tried out my story idea with one of my friends. He told me that my story would probably make a good movie and that he was insterested in taking a stab at writing the screenplay for it. So, if you see a movie about hackers manipulating the stock market to destroy a country, check the credits and see if my name shows up. (I'm not going to post details about my story here since I know there are people out there who would steal it without thinking twice). For the mean time, I will work on writing it as a novel and see how that goes. Today at work, I pitched my idea for our company's image commercial. So far, the boss thinks there's potential and doesn't hate it. Other people that I soft-pitched too seem receptive and gave positive comments, but I wasn't sure if they were just trying to be nice. So now, it goes up to the big boss for his critique. If it survives that gauntlet and it gets approved for production, then I may actually have just put together my first television commercial. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope it goes through with little revision. Lately, my brain has been buzzing with way too many ideas. I've been having a hard time falling asleep and I usually end up writing or drawing things in my notebook, or playing puzzle-type video games. I have also been refurbishing a couple of old video game consoles for fun, which usually leads me to lose track of time and go on without much sleep. So something is definately making my brain synapses go into over drive. Whatever is going on, I just hope I don't burn out. Walkway to Eternity
Wednesday, November 19, 2008

A while back, I went out on the Pensacola Beach Fishing Pier at night. I decided to take a picture using my phone and see how bad or good it would turn out.
The fishing pier is very eerie at night. Being one of the longest fishing piers on the Gulf of Mexico (1471 feet long), you normally can't see antything into the darkness of the ocean. All you can hear are the waves crashing on pier.
When you reach the middle part of the pier, you can't see where the pier starts or ends in either direction. It's sometimes quite disorienting. I always feel like I'm on some walkway to eternity whenever I reach this point. Mobile post sent by ByteMonkey using Utterli. Replies. Labels: beach, mobile phones, random thoughts
Clarity
Sunday, September 14, 2008
Somewhere between mental exhaustion and sleep, I found a moment of clarity. In this moment, I realized that you can not escape your past. You can try to keep running away from it until it seem like you have lost it, but the truth is that you’re only a few paces ahead of it for a little while. The past will catch up with you. There is no doubt of it.

No Taxation Without Representation
Tuesday, May 20, 2008
I don't care if you voted for Obama or Clinton, but the fact that the Democratic party elections doesn't count in Florida isn't going to be counted because the Republican state government set the elections early is really making me mad. It's not like the voters had a choice. The voters were just told when and where to vote. Now, if the government plans to disenfranchise people, then I think Floridians shouldn't have to pay federal taxes next year. Why should anyone pay for a government that they didn't want to support? Didn't America once declare "No Taxation without Representation" to the British when they didn't get their vote? Labels: random thoughts, things that piss me off
Some thoughts about moBlogging
Saturday, May 10, 2008
I recently bought a small DC to AC adapter for my car so that I can plug /recharge my laptop whenever I'm roaming the town. It's been a very useful tool and I would definately recommend to any road warriors to have one in their car. I just wonder, in today's technocentric society, why don't car makers just design a power outlet into their cars? Seems like a simple thing to do. Labels: car stuff, moblogging, random thoughts
