Way Too Easy
Thursday, February 12, 2009

utterli-imageHave you ever had a question or problem presented to you that was way too easy or answer was so obvious that it basically screams at you?

While I was checking my Facebook account, one of those online ads that sell quick-get-rich schemes using Google popped up. This particular advert wanted to know if you wanted learn how the person pictured in the ad had quit their 9-5 job to make $10K a month using a search engine.

When I looked at the pictures on the ad, I realized something. I realized that I didn’t really need to pay a dime to figure out their secret method because it was way too obvious from the picture to see how this person makes $10K a month.

A Lesson Learned
Sunday, July 06, 2008

ByteMonkey: Hey!

Maggie: Ugh. What's that smell?

ByteMonkey: Huh? It's probably me.

Maggie: What the hell are you wearing?

ByteMonkey: I'm wearing PineSol.

Maggie: What?

ByteMonkey: I wanted smell fresh and clean. And I heard that nothing smells more fresh and clean like PineSol can!

Maggie: Get away from me you freak!!! You smell bad and you're giving me a headache.

ByteMonkey: Heartless bitch.

Maggie: What did you say?!?!

ByteMonkey: I said, "My eyes itch!"

That was the last thing I remember before I lost consciousness and later found myself laying on my back on the floor with my face feeling very sore.

The lesson here: PineSol is great on floors, but not on you.

Thursday!
Wednesday, June 25, 2008

Last Tuesday, the fortune cookie I got with my lunch read, "Keep your eyes open on Thursday for something unexpected."

Well in an hour, it will be Thursday for some reason I am filled with excitement and dread. It would seem like this little piece of paper has managed to get under my skin and unnerve me. What kind of "unexpected" should I be looking out for? Will it be the good kind where I get some kind of gift or prize? Or will it be the horrible kind where all my servers get fried by lightening?

Tomorrow, I think I'll make it a point not to eat anything with tomatoes or have lunch any place that serves a buffet. It'll just be my luck that I'll end up in the ER again for food poisoning and be hospitalized for four days. Then again, I might actually be lucky and win a million dollars or find a date that won't try to steal my car. Yes, lets dwell on the positive. No more negative.
